Some New Videos

Lately I have been organizing my hard drive, and cleaning out old stuff, and came across some animations I did just for fun in my spare time at home.  I’m shifting my efforts to the Unreal Engine 3, so my next upload will likely be some work done in the UDK, or UnrealED.   I am excited to try SpeedTree UDK, as trees are my favorite thing to model.  Enjoy!

Glass Building MassFX – Demo in 3DS Max 2012

Just a quick demonstration of some MassFX Rigid Body Physics rendered in mental ray in 3DS Max Design 2012. Very quick to set up the scene, and different camera angles, but it took about 7 days to render due to the refractions, reflections, and ray traced shadows. Rendered on a single 2.9GHz Quad Core Xeon with 8GB RAM.

Terragen 2 Ponderosa Pine Project – Original

I built a 3D tree in 3DS Max, and imported it into Terragen 2 to learn how to create populations. This is just one tree; a Ponderosa Pine. This rendering was a little dark so there is another version I am uploading that has some post processing done to boost the brightness of the terrain.

Terragen 2 Ponderosa Pine Project – Brighter

I built a 3D tree in 3DS Max, and imported it into Terragen 2 to learn how to create populations. This is just one tree; a Ponderosa Pine. This original rendering was a little dark so this is another version I am uploading that has some post processing done to boost the brightness of the terrain. The clouds are blown out, but you can more easily see the terrain, and trees.

Terragen 2 Clouds – Dreaming

Another Terragen 2 Clouds Rendering. Started Rendering Jan 27th 2011 on my Core2 Quad 3GHz, and ended on Feb. 15th (19 days). Average frame time of 30 minutes, and 900 frames puts this at 450 hours of rendering time at 1920×1080 (1080p) resolution.

Terragen 2 Clouds – Pointed Mountains

Same clouds as before, with different lighting, and some mountains poking up through the bottom.

That’s all for now.
